Jal Mahal - Pink Beauty In Mid Of Water
Jal Mahal in Jaipur |
Jal Mahal(water palace)is located in the heart of Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan. It is 4km to the north of Jaipur and is located on the Amer-Jaipur road. Jal Mahal was built during the famines when the lake had completely dried up. Then the ruler of Amer decided to build a dam to prevent famine-hit areas. Later on, this dam was converted into stone masonry. Jal Mahal was constructed by Maharaja Madho Singh in 1750.
