Restaurants in the valley

We went there in the month of May. It is almost one and a half hours journey from Dalhousie. Due to topographical similarities with Switzerland, khajjiar is called as the ‘Mini Switzerland Of India’.It is a meadow in the shape of a saucer. So after we had our lunch we got ready to hit our next destination “Khajjiar”. Khajjiar is one of the main attraction spots for tourists who visit Dalhousie.

beautiful meadows

On our way to Khajjiar we came across many other attraction spots like “Kalatop” “Lakkadmandi” and several valleys of flowers.” Kalatop” which means (Blackcap) because the hilltop is nestled with dark and dense forest. It is definitely a must visit the place to enjoy the essence of peace and zen of the mountain.

Khajjiar is still an offbeat destination, so it’s not overcrowded all the time and you can enjoy its beauty undisturbedly. The majestic meadows Khajjiar will definitely leave you astonished. It is located at an altitude of 6450 ft. Khajjiar looks like a saucer-shaped green meadow which is surrounded by Devadar Trees. To enhance the enchanting beauty of the meadow also has a lake. Though the lake situated in the middle of the saucer-shaped meadow was not well maintained by the tourism department, as a result, it became dry.T he khajjiar lake is a natural splendor.
